Is an AI portrait sharp enough to print on a large canvas?
Yes: every portrait is made as a 1536 × 2304 pixel master, and when you order a print we upscale it to 3840 × 5760 pixels, which is about 160 pixels per inch on our largest common size (24 × 36 inches) and more on smaller ones. We then crop it to the exact shape of the size you pick and prepare the print file at up to 150 DPI, the usual target for wall art seen from a few feet away. The free preview you see first is smaller and watermarked; the print file is only made after you order.
Is it a hand-painted canvas or a print?
It is a printed canvas: your portrait is painted digitally in the style you choose, then printed to order on canvas and shipped ready to hang. That keeps it fast (a preview in seconds, delivery in about 7 to 10 days) and lets you see the exact artwork before you buy.

How does the free preview work?⌄
Upload one or two photos and pick a style. In about 30 seconds you'll see your portrait, painted from your photo. No sign-up, no credit card: the preview is completely free. Your photos are only used to make your portrait and are never shared.
What makes a good photo to upload?⌄
Your photo makes the biggest difference to the final portrait. Choose a sharp photo taken in good natural light, with the face fully visible and roughly centered. Skip blurry shots, heavy filters, or photos where the face is turned away or cut off. The better the photo, the more detailed and true to life the result.
My result doesn't look great. What went wrong?⌄
Almost always it comes down to the photo. Low resolution, dim light, motion blur or something in the way makes fine details harder to capture. Try a close-up, well-lit photo, tap Retry for a new result from the same photo, or tap Edit and describe a change in plain words.
How long does it take to generate?⌄
Most portraits are ready in about 30 seconds. We start painting the moment you upload, so it won't take long.
Can I choose different styles?⌄

What happens after I get my free preview?⌄
You can order it as a gallery canvas, which includes the digital download, or buy the hi-res digital file on its own. Canvas is delivered to your door with free shipping.
