Frequently asked questions
How does the free preview work?⌄
Upload one or two photos and pick a style. In about 30 seconds you'll see your portrait, painted from your photo. No sign-up, no credit card: the preview is completely free. Your photos are only used to make your portrait and are never shared.
What makes a good photo to upload?⌄
Your photo makes the biggest difference to the final portrait. Choose a sharp photo taken in good natural light, with the face fully visible and roughly centered. Skip blurry shots, heavy filters, or photos where the face is turned away or cut off. The better the photo, the more detailed and true to life the result.
My result doesn't look great. What went wrong?⌄
Almost always it comes down to the photo. Low resolution, dim light, motion blur or something in the way makes fine details harder to capture. Try a close-up, well-lit photo, tap Retry for a new result from the same photo, or tap Edit and describe a change in plain words.
How long does it take to generate?⌄
Most portraits are ready in about 30 seconds. We start painting the moment you upload, so it won't take long.
Can I choose different styles?⌄
Yes. Our collection has 102 styles, from classic oils to watercolor and charcoal. Try as many as you like, up to 7 free previews a day, until you find the one that fits.
What happens after I get my free preview?⌄
You can order it as a gallery canvas, which includes the digital download, or buy the hi-res digital file on its own. Canvas is delivered to your door with free shipping.
How long does it take to produce my order?⌄
Every portrait is printed to order after you buy. Production and delivery together usually take about 7–10 days.
How long does shipping take?⌄
We ship to the US, the UK, Canada and Australia, and shipping is free on every order. Allow about 7–10 days from order to your door, production included.
How can I track my order?⌄
As soon as your order ships, we'll email you a tracking link so you can follow it all the way to your door.
What happens if my order is damaged or lost?⌄
Every order is insured: if it arrives damaged or gets lost, we reprint it or refund you. Just email support@canvasofyou.com with your order number, plus a photo if it's damaged. And every order comes with our 14-day money-back guarantee: if you're not happy with your order, email support@canvasofyou.com within 14 days of delivery (or of purchase, for digital downloads) and we'll refund you in full.
